REFLECTION

Experience
Advanced typography class were more focused on using the type face unlike the typography class I had in the previous semester. Through this course I have learned typographic systems which was the basic system that were used by all graphic designers to use texts in magazines, newspapers, poster and more. Mr Vinod allowed us to use image and colors which made it more complicated yet interesting to use them with texts. By the end of this module I have learned the basics of use of typography in graphic designs in various places such as magazines, adverts, posters and more.

Observations
Through this course I have learned to observe characteristics of the type face and how they blend in with other visual elements. the typography plays an important role to transfer the message to the viewers and at the same time it should play with the surrounding visual elements as one whole image.

Findings
As the course was more focused on graphic design, I was more exposed to researching and designing collateral designs using typography. I have found how typeface plays an important role to create personalities to products and brands. The expression of the typeface holds strong value to the viewers and could manifest more than words.
