Project 1B

Students were to create a poster using the key design made in project 1A.

Attempt 01

Towards this poster design, Mr Vinod commented on the layout of the date, name and time and insisted it to be more creative.

Attempt 02

the words were changed to hand written text with rough brush texture and overlapped  with the main title to enhance the rough and punk design. The layout is done in black and white first to see how the layout turns out.

The yellow writing seemed it could be done better, it is changed to white tape just like 'all', 'up' and 'in'.

Attempt 01

the items for the collateral design were suggested to last for long period of time for remembrance of the event. Paper cups and paper bags were not ideal for the collateral design.

using the key design more colorful and vibrant design were made for the collateral design. It was made in black and white at first to see if the design works and then colored later on.

E Invite

Made in 1000px to 1000px. All the words should be legible when viewed in any device.

Attempt 01

Made the design using After Effect. As the words have wet brush texture, paint animation were made to make the animation more dynamic. Mr Vinod commented the last part of the animation was a bit let down and suggested to make it more interesting.

Attempt 02

Different transitions were made to all different information as the animation could seem too repetitive and dull.

FEEDBACK

-week 8
The key design was okay, the posters name and time section could be more creative. the e invite animation was good but the layout of the names and the time was a bit let down.

-week 9
Animation and poster were good. items should be changed for collateral design as paper cups and paper bags would be thrown away after the event and items which would last long and apply remembrance of the event should be chosen.

REFLECTION

Experience

-week 8
as the key design was well designed it was easy to carry on with collateral design and animation.

-week 9
a bit more effort was put into animation of the e invite as the last name and time section was done without any effects.

Observation

-week 8
the working flow of the following project was fluent as it was easy to work as the key design was set.

-week 9
more vibrant colors were added to collateral design so that the design were not too repetitive.

Findings

-week 8
rough textures were added and brush strokes design really helped to bring out the rough texture.

-week 9
mixture of vibrant colors were added to the key design for collateral design which really bring out more characteristics of the rough brush strokes and colors all together.
